Our Research
At Management Nexus Insights, our consulting is grounded in organizational science. Our research examines the relationships among leaders, employees, and stakeholders—how they shape culture, belonging, performance, decision-making, and organizational change. Across our work, we translate academic research into practical insight for organizations seeking stronger alignment, healthier workplaces, and more effective people systems.
Governance, Stakeholder Pressure, and Board Diversity
This research examines how shareholders respond to female director candidates under different organizational conditions. The findings show that support for women leaders can weaken when firms face performance problems or controversy, highlighting how stakeholder commitments to diversity are often shaped by risk, pressure, and context.
Strategic Leader Diversity and Organizational Diversity Outcomes
This project reviews and integrates research on whether diversity among top leaders translates into broader organizational diversity outcomes. It offers a multilevel framework showing that diversity efforts depend not only on representation at the top, but also on critical mass, organizational systems, social identity dynamics, and the conditions that enable change to cascade through an organization.
Female Leadership and Human Capital Development
This study examines when female representation on boards and in senior leadership shapes employee-focused policies. The research connects governance decisions to employee outcomes, showing how leadership composition can influence human capital development and the policies that support employees’ growth and well-being.
Inclusive Leadership, Allyship, and Workplace Belonging
This project develops and validates a practical measure of inclusive leadership and tests how inclusive leader behaviors support allyship, antiracism, workgroup inclusion, authenticity, empowerment, and emotional exhaustion. The research offers a strong foundation for helping organizations move from broad inclusion statements to measurable leader behaviors that shape employee experience.
